Another Tremendous Christmas Fayre!

Parents' Association

Once again our Parents' Association organised a fantastic Christmas Fayre enjoyed by pupils and parents from the Pre Prep, Junior and Senior Schools.

Music from all three of our schools became a focal point in our Main Foyer, while side rooms had a number of enterprising Festive challenges, with many run by our pupils.

It was great to see so many stalls in the Main Hall- as well as the tombola, that always proves so popular, our Charity Prefect teams for CRY, Macmillan Cancer Support and Zoe's Place all had a successful morning raising over £300 between them. Meanwhile, in the Dining Room, there was a very lively cafe atmosphere as visitors enjoyed the excellent range of hot food and drinks available.

New stalls (including Abby Wilkes Photography, Costco, Graffiti Artist and Wild Creature Features) proved very popular, as did the mulled wine and mince pies served by Head of History Mrs Helen Skilton and her 6th form helpers Keisha Simms (School Captain) and Oindrila Mukherjee. Outside, on the Main Field, the donkey rides and reindeer rodeo also drew much attention, while in our Meeting Room, a very special visitor greeted younger pupils.

It was excellent, as always, to see former staff and pupils at the event, and we would like to highlight 2012 leaver Lauren Adams, currently studying at Oxford Brookes University, who ran a face-painting stall with one of her friends, raising money for her 2015 Mount Kilimanjaro climb in aid of Childreach International.

The ever popular raffle concluded the event, and we thank the Parents' Association and Mrs Helen Billings (Head of German) for coordinating such an excellent event. Footnote... Next weekend we will feature the artwork adorning the current Bablake PA Honey jars.
