Pupils Enjoy Coventry University Engineering Experience

Archive Archive

19 potential future engineers from Bablake's 3rd year willingly surrendered a day of their half term to learn more about engineering by attending an experience day at Coventry University.

Based in the new and impressive £55m Faculty of Engineering and Computing, pupils tried their hand at two problem solving experiences under the guidance of current engineering students or ‘advocates’.

Inbetween these activities, our pupils were given a guided tour of the faculty. There they saw an impressive range of equipment and processes, which may well have inspired them into pursuing further engineering opportunities and possibly a future career in this exciting field.

Next week there will be more engineering opportunities at Coventry University for some of our 2nd year girls, when they have the chance to enjoy a day of activities aimed at encouraging and developing an interest in this area.

Thanks to Mr Chris West (Head of Design Technology) for the photographs and information.
