Celebrating Oxbridge Success

Oxbridge Sixth Form

Our U6th pupils registered with UCAS have returned after Half Term determined to meet the academic requirements of some very exciting university offers.

Our Careers department always advocates that the best university is the best one for the individual concerned and the full cohort is certainly well placed with offers suiting individual interests and talents.

Amongst those holding excellent offers are three pupils who have been offered Oxbridge places. Rubi Ingaglia, following her summer studying in Hong Kong, has been offered a conditional place to read Spanish and Italian at Keble College, Oxford, while school captain Keisha Simms is looking forward to reading Economics at Jesus College, Cambridge. Katie Carlson, 2012-13 Wheatleyan editor, currently enjoying an exciting gap year in Paris, has a guaranteed place to read English at University College, Oxford.

Mrs Helen Skilton (Oxbridge co-ordinator and Head of History) said: 'I am extremely proud of all three of our successful Oxbridge candidates. They have worked exceptionally hard to receive offers in an extremely competitive process and have demonstrated both flair and passion for their subjects. I am sure that they will make the most of the opportunities that Cambridge and Oxford provide, and that they will be an inspiration for our younger pupils.’

Congratulations to these three pupils and all the rest of our U6th for gaining such excellent offers at universities across the UK.
