10th Crystal Ball Is The Best Yet!

Events Senior School

Reflecting on the success of the 2015 Crystal Ball, both the U6th pupils who had organised it and the staff in attendance agreed that this year's event was the most successful yet!

The heavens held their thunder just long enough for the guests to gather in front of the Main School and enjoy everyone's arrival. Soon after, guests were greeted by Head Waiter George Esworthy and his team, who offered a refreshing (non-alcoholic) drink. After the chance to 'bust some moves' in the Main Hall and a top quality buffet, the traditional formal tutor group photographs were taken on the steps in our foyer.

With a fancy dress 'photo booth' and backdrop for individual formal photographs set up, there was plenty of opportunity to record the evening, and inevitably hundreds of selfies were also taken.

Started in 2006 by 6th form pupils Lauren Bates and Haydn Johnson, together with rallying from School Captain Alex Kantor, the Crystal Ball acts as a Prom for our 5th years, raises money for a nominated charity and often helps fund the U6th Leavers' Ball.

Mrs Alison Tumber, Head of 6th form, commented: 'Rubi Ingaglia and her team were an immense pleasure to work with and the Ball was most definitely the best organised event yet!'

Photographs from the evening are being posted here and we thank the photographic team, (Hannah Corden, Kirat Johal, Amy Lilly and Mr Mark Woodward) for their unstinting work throughout.
