Seven Young Geography Teachers Impress Our Y5 Pupils

As part of Geography WorldWise Week, seven young 'teachers' from our 2nd year, all members of Geography Club, visited a Year 5 class (5S) at our Junior School yesterday lunchtime.

Miss Rebecca Priest (Geography) said: 'The purpose of their visit was to teach the class about 'The Aral Sea', a topic which fitted nicely into their current learning about deserts.

The seven pupils planned the lesson themselves, making an accompanying PowerPoint presentation and worksheet. They really enjoyed the experience and Y5 class teacher Miss Shorter reported that her pupils really enjoyed the experience and were very engaged in what our pupils taught them.'
