More Rotary Club Success For Design Tech Pupils

Senior School Design Technology

Once again Bablake's Design Technology department was delighted to be invited to display some work at the recent Rotary Clubs of Coventry Design and Technology Exhibition held at The Westwood Academy.

After success last year when Huw Edwards' work received a prize, this time Will Rowland represented our GCSE Design and Realisation coursework with his rifle cabinet, while Tom Betts entered his floor lamp which he had created for his AS Product Design work. This was the second year running for Tom whose work was entered in the GCSE category last year.

Head of Design Technology Mr Chris West said: 'Will went on to win an award for 'Outstanding Craftsmanship', for which he received a certificate and glass trophy. I was delighted for Will and of course, it is always interesting to see the varied and diverse range of coursework entered from all Coventry schools. We very much look forward to being part of this prestigious event again next year’.
