Pre Prep pupil sends presents to poorly children

Pre Prep Charity

On day 15 of advent, we are thankful to those who think of others at Christmas.

Ella, who is in Year 1 at the Pre-Prep, has a heart condition and is a very brave little girl.

Last year Ella was taken to hospital in an ambulance at 8am on Christmas morning and had to spend 3 days in HDU instead of being at home. The staff at University Hospital were amazing and Ella was given presents to open and supplied with festive treats to make a very scary time a bit more bearable. The staff at the hospital told Ella's family about the hospital charity that appeal for people to donate presents to give to people in hospital over the festive period.

After being looked after so well at the hospital Ella decided she wanted other children to have the same experience and when she went to write her letter to Santa she asked for the following...
1. Not to go to hospital at Christmas
2. A new barbie
3. Presents to go to other poorly children in hospital like she was given over Christmas

To fulfil her Christmas wish Ella, with the help of her Mum, made a hamper full of toys, games and chocolate to take to the Children's Ward at the hospital.

She was very excited to receive a letter of thanks from the hospital and a certificate for being so kind. Ella is now keeping her fingers crossed for the barbie doll and no ambulances on Christmas morning!

The school is very proud of Ella's kindness and we wish her and her family a very happy, healthy Christmas.
