2016 Careers Convention Tonight!

Senior School Careers

The 2016 Careers Convention, a biennial event, takes place tonight from 6pm to 9pm.

We do hope as many pupils and parents as possible will attend since it is an excellent opportunity to meet a wide and dynamic variety of employers, former pupils and graduates. You may ask how the delegates made the decisions that led to their current careers as well as seek their guidance on entry requirements in terms of subjects, skills and character.

Mr Mark Woodward, Head of Careers, added: "There has been a fantastic response once again from former pupils for this event. I am very much in their debt for their willingness to attend at the end of a long day's work. Many have travelled across the country too. Their empathy towards current pupils will be most valuable. It is also excellent to welcome a healthy number of institutions and employers that are new to Bablake.

Inevitably not every profession is covered, but there are many former pupils happy to assist by email after the event. I have also spotted there is an excellent free event at the NEC on Saturday 26th February that has a good number of universities and employers (inc. apprenticeship providers) in attendance. It looks well worth a visit for our GCSE and A level students."
