Charlotte Also Makes The Grade For National Orchestra

It is excellent to be able to congratulate a second Bablake brass player, Charlotte Merry, on gaining one of just 30 places with the National Scout and Guide Symphony Orchestra (NSGSO).

Trumpeter Charlotte, who passed her Grade 6 last summer with a distinction, received the exciting news over half term that she will be joining French horn player Emma Blackett in the NSGSO later this summer and performing in several concerts in and around the Birmingham area, including at the wonderful Symphony Hall.

Charlotte also enjoys playing the cornet in the City of Coventry Brass Band, conducted by Mr Steve Cooper (Music), as well as playing the trumpet in Bablake's Swing Band and Senior Brass Group.
