Senior School Examinations

Bablake School celebrates another year of excellent A level and GCSE results.

GCSE Results Summary

  • 100% of pupils achieved at least 5 A* - C grades, including English and Mathematics.
  • 64% of all grades were at A* or A.
  • 32% of all grades were A*s.
  • 21 pupils gained 10 or more A* or A grades.
  • 102 pupils took the exams.

A Level Results Summary

  • The overall pass rate is 100%.
  • 73% of all grades are A*, A or B.
  • 44% of all grades are A* or A.
  • 8 students achieved 3 or more A* grades.
  • 31 students achieved 3 or more A* or A grades.
  • 125 students took the exams.

Beyond Bablake - A level Student Success

Star student Matthew Rowlands achieved a remarkable 5 A*s, as well as an A in his Extended Project Qualification, and will read Law at Magdalene College, Cambridge. He was one of 17 students to gain an A* or A grade in History and one of 41 in Mathematics. Among other Oxbridge successes, student Anna Knight achieved 4 A*s and will read Mathematics at St Anne’s College, Oxford.

Future Prepared - Excellent GCSE results

Baht-Ammi Francis, Ria Patel, Jakevir Shoker and Deepra Sinha all gained an exceptional 11 A*s in their GCSE exams, with the last three also awarded a further A grade in Additional Maths, which they completed after achieving A* in their GCSE Maths a year early.

Many pupils exceeded expectations with their GCSE results and have made great progress in their studies during their time at Bablake. Their achievements reflect their hard work, dedication and positive attitude, coupled with the support and inspiration of their teachers.
