U15s Train With Former England International

Rugby Sports

Our U15 rugby squad had the opportunity to meet former England winger Paul Sackey at last night's training session.

Paul, who is working as an ambassador for Wasps RFC, led a few drills for some of our backs and we are sure they will be eager to test some of the tips they picked up, in their next fixture.

The session started with Andrew Wong winning a pair of tickets for Wasps RFC's first fixture at the Ricoh Arena on Sunday 21st December. Andrew won these as a result of using his pace and sidesteps to be the final player not to be tackled in a tag-based exercise. In fact, he remained untackled throughout- a good sign for many future tries this season, if he can be fed the ball in games.

Mr Rob Burdett, Head of Boys' PE, commented: 'It was great to have a player of Paul's quality take time to come and train with our lads. They will remember his visit for some time and who knows, maybe someone from this squad will step up and make it to full international level. It has happened recently with Shane Geraghty (England), Ben Cooper (Scotland U20) and Josh Buggea (England U18), so we look forward to seeing our next international!'

This week's letters will include information on an introductory offer for tickets to Wasps RFC's first games at the Ricoh Arena.
