Sports Captains 2016-17: (3) Hockey (Girls)

In introducing more of our 2016-17 Sports Captains, today we congratulate Upper Sixth students Anna Price and Jasmine Shankster-East on their appointment as Hockey 1st X1 captains.

Captain Anna - one of our CCF Sergeants - and vice captain and goalkeeper Jasmine - 2105-16 Wheatleyan editor and senior prefect - will be supported by Minnie Klesnik-Edwards, who has been appointed 2nd XI captain and will assist our PE staff develop players for next season's 1st XI.

Our coaches report team spirit this season is once again excellent and has been very much enhanced by many of the girls touring South Africa during the summer, where they enjoyed some excellent competitive hockey. Further camaraderie has been created as so many of the girls also play netball together.

The squad is expected to enjoy a promising season, which we look forward to reporting on.
