Brave, Determined Netball

Our 1st VII had a frustrating evening at North Leamington School last night in the Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire round of the 2017 Netball Nationals.

As convincing Coventry Schools Champions, our team would have been confident of pushing hard for Midlands qualification, but despite our players' very best efforts on a chilly, damp evening, our bid ended.

After a defeat against a tremendously impressive, strong Rugby School side in the first game and the same versus Tudor Grange (both eventual finalists), our girls were low on confidence, but their spirit came through in later games. Errors under pressure and facing opposition inches taller than them made our mission on the night very difficult, but there is great pride in being city champions and having a successful season in the longer format game.
