Reverse Advent Calendar For Coventry's Homeless

Visitors to the Modern Languages building will notice our Reverse Advent Calendar.

The idea for the Reverse Advent tree has come from Bablake's Sikh and Hindu Society, and Charity Co-ordinator Mrs Maria O'Neill, full of praise for this new venture, explains more, saying:

"Starting on Thursday 1st December, we shall be encouraging pupils every day to add something to the donation box located outside my office. When the 'calendar' is full, the items will be donated to the homeless. Donations should be given on a voluntary basis and it is a great opportunity for us to encourage pupils to give something back at Christmas and reinforce the ethos of care, kindness and charity."
