Winter Social A Definite Success

Last night's fundraiser for Bablake's 2017 visit to partner school Harrismith Secondary was a complete success.

Enya Bowe, Ellie Herniman, Harry Hine and Dannisha Patel (all Fifth years) arranged an excellent Winter Social for around 70 of our Second and Third year pupils in the Main Hall, which definitely gave this year's early festive celebrations an excellent boost.

A super mix of excellent company, expert mixing (courtesy of DJ Harry), party games, a 'photo booth' and plenty of buffet food offered much variety for everyone to enjoy themselves at the tail end of an exhausting Autumn term.

The exciting raffle, with a vast array of prizes donated by teachers and local businesses, followed by an impromptu Mannequin Challenge brought the excellent evening to a close.

The final fundraising total will be announced next week, but it is estimated the evening will have raised over £300, which will all go towards projects in Harrismith Secondary next summer.

Thanks go to the Fifth year team and teachers (especially Mrs Lenihan and Mrs Skilton) for organising the evening, as well as Far Gosford Street's 'Domino's' for so kindly donating pizza for the evening.
