Bablake Boys Help Engineer Warwickshire JAC Success

Senior School Hockey

Warwickshire's U15 JAC side won its Tier 1 tournament at the end of the season and two of Bablake's young hockey stars were instrumental in the team's success.

Well done to captain Dan Barnes and Guy Jewkes who helped the team to victories over Nottingham (2-0) and Staffordshire (3-2), and a draw with Derbyshire (1-1) on their way to the overall tournament win. The victory over Staffordshire was also particularly pleasing, reversing a narrow 1-0 defeat (conceding only in the final 30 seconds) at the previous tournament held at Rugby School.

The Warwickshire team's success came at Nottingham Hockey Centre, a leading UK hockey facility with three different artificial pitches of international size and/ or standard.

The season has been a successful one for the boys as they have also enjoyed assisting Hampton in Arden's Mens' 3rd XI finish as League champions.
