We came, we saw, we planted!

Senior School

1 hour, 5 humans, 30 trees...

After a long wait and several excited tree-related messages between the Eco-Club and Mr. Hyde, we were finally ready to don our most beautiful wellies, grab our shovels and get digging. When we arrived at the playing fields, it did not take long to find a particularly tree-less corner and so we set to work, planting a well-organised mishmash of silver birch, rowan and wild cherry. 45 minutes later and 10 muddy hands richer, we arrived back in school just in time to slip back into lessons. A big THANK YEW to all involved!

The Woodland Trust want to make sure everybody in the UK has the chance to plant a tree. They're giving away hundreds of thousands of trees to schools and communities – have a look www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/plant-trees/schools-and-communities
