Foxcroft Science Winner

Senior School Junior School

Congratulations to Adrian of the Lower Sixth, who has won the 13th Annual Foxcroft Science Essay Competition!

The competition for 2021 was, unsurprisingly, centred around the Coronavirus pandemic, and Adrian's essay title was The physics of X-ray crystallography and its role in structural biology. The technique discussed in his essay was pivotal in discovering the structure of the virus' main protease.

The annual inter-school essay competition is open to Year 12 science students from Rugby, Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire, so Adrian's victory is an exceptional demonstration of his talent!
