Open Morning This Saturday

This Saturday, Bablake holds its Open Morning for current and prospective parents, where there will be the opportunity to view some of our pupils’ outstanding and creative work in the different departments and activities around school, whilst many pupils will be involved in demonstrations.

The Open Morning allows us to convey some of the warm dynamism of Bablake to those parents and children who are currently considering their options for secondary education and Headmaster Mr John Watson will be speaking to prospective parents for 20 minutes at 10.30am and 11.30 am.

There will inevitably be many activities to visit but why not try some of these highlights?

• Test the CCF's inflatable obstacle course on the front field.. 
• Tackle our Climbing Wall. See the Rocket Launch in Chemistry. 
• Watch rehearsals for 'Othello'. 
• Create your own Bablake bag in Art. 
• Personalise your Bablake pencil in Design Technology. 
• Challenge our Chess players. 
• Create your own inflatable planet in Geography. 
• Drive Big Trak in ICT and make your own Bablake door hanger. 
• Visit the Languages café. 
• Take part in an African Drumming Circle.

Families are also welcome to attend sports fixtures: our U14 girls are playing in the Warwickshire Hockey Tournament at our Astro (postcode- CV6 2BU) while there are rugby matches against Leicester Grammar at the school playing fields (postcode- CV6 2NB).

We know our finest ambassadors are our pupils and they will be on hand to offer tours around the site. They are very proud of their school and will be excellent advocates of the excellent opportunities Bablake has to offer!

On Saturday, there is, of course, also the opportunity to discover more about our provision of an excellent education from 3 years at our Pre Prep and from 7 years at our Junior School.
