A team of five academics from some of the Netherlands' leading research universities, led by Kim Zwitserloot (MSc), a lecturer in economics from University College Utrecht, visited Bablake to demonstrate the advantages of studying in Holland.
An excellent audience of just over 50 students and parents, mainly from Bablake but also from other schools in the region, listened to a very lucid and impressive presentation before being able to ask general questions from the floor and then individually at the stalls dedicated to the universities represented.
Of course, there are many other colleges and universities across Europe and the world offering similar highly recognised Higher Education programmes but the evening was a perfect starting point for those looking at possible alternatives to the current UK provision which has just seen a sharp increase in tuition fees.
Presenter Kim Zwitserloot commented: 'We very much enjoyed visiting Bablake and were pleasantly surprised with the great interest in studying in Holland. We hope to see some of the audience soon on the Continent!'
