As Endorsed By Lord Digby Jones!

Senior School Engineering

There seem few signs of any relenting in the 'selfie' craze at Bablake, although it has probably long entered the ironic phase in the coolest of circles!

Last summer national news online was made as U6th pupil John McDevitt sneaked himself into a photo of Prince Harry in the Memorial Park; then this year our L6th cajoled the Archbishop of Canterbury into one on our campus when he visited us to talk about our International Cross of Nails status.

Finally this term, at the Engineering Education Scheme celebration day, L6th pupil Chris Blackett and his engineering peers, scheduled Lord Digby Jones, former Director General of the CBI and Minister of State for Trade and Investment, into a photograph for the EDTSelfie Challenge. This photo was deemed the best of the day and has won our Design Technology department a much loved 'selfie stick'! Unlike Wimbledon and other places, selfie sticks are yet to be banned from the Bablake campus!
