Only four houses now? What happened to Baker and Billing? posted by Martin Butler (1963-69, Fairfax) from Coventry Yes! I was a staff member for Baker (with Mr Brown in charge). The 2 you mention were amalgamated into the 4 remaining houses. Of course 4 houses is an easier number to organise for House events.
Mr Burden (pfb@bablake.coventry.sch.uk) would probably have more information on this issue!

I can hardly believe it's been nearly 3 years since I left Bablake. Looking over the website though, nothing seems to have changed too much. Still the same energetic, student focused school, that I remember fondly. Lisa x posted by Lisa Vaughan from Coventry Definitely one of the strengths of the school is the broad variety of extracurricular activities our students are able to involve themselves in. Tribute to their talent and versatility as much to the dedication of the staff.

As an old "surfing" Bablake boy, why is Mr EA Seaborne not mentioned in the history section as he had more influence over me & my offspring, than the discipline of Burroughs ever did!?
Regards, Paul Baker posted by Paul Baker from 37, Hall Lane Walsgrave, Coventry, CV2 2AW I guess Peter Burden covers the Seaborne era in eloquent detail in his book 'The Lion and the Stars'. With so much to summarise in a few paragraphs, many of the major moments of such a successful school will naturally be missed in such a brief history!
