Applying to Sixth Form

Pupils join our Sixth Form in Year 12 aged 16 and should obtain a minimum of five GCSE Grade 6 (or equivalent) passes.

Visit us
We encourage you to visit Bablake Sixth Form to experience first hand what makes our school so special. Tours can be booked throughout the year with our Admissions Team or come along to one of our many open events.

Apply
Complete our application form online by Friday 30 January 2026. All candidates are asked to submit a personal statement along with GCSE predicted grades. We also invite candidates in to taster events where they are assigned a buddy and attend lessons so that they can experience life at Bablake Sixth Form.
As part of our Sixth Form intake we also have scholarships and bursaries available, which you can find on our scholarships and bursaries page. Please indicate your interest on the application form and further information will be sent to you.

Interview
Applicants will be invited to visit the School after the application deadline, where they will be interviewed by the Head and the Head of Sixth Form.

Offers
Conditional offers are made following interview.
These offers are conditional upon GCSE grades achieved the following August. We ask that you contact us as soon as you know your results.

Accept the place
Upon acceptance of a conditional offer students are invited in to our Sixth Form Induction Day held at the end of Summer Term.
