Bursaries

At Bablake School, we believe that a child’s access to an outstanding education should not be limited by their family’s financial circumstances. As part of our commitment to widening access and opportunity, we seek to attract and support talented young people who will thrive here, make the most of the opportunities available to them, and contribute positively to our diverse school community.

Bursaries are available for pupils applying for entry into Year 7 and Sixth Form (Year 12). Awards are means-tested and can provide up to 100% remission of tuition fees, depending on a family’s financial circumstances and the funds available.

If you need further help, please contact our Admissions team on 024 7627 1248 or admissions@csfoundation.org.uk. You can find our Bursary policy on our policies page.

Who can apply?

Families applying for a place at Bablake School who believe they may require financial support are encouraged to apply for a bursary.

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Meet the school’s admissions requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong academic potential through the admissions process.
  • Be able to show a genuine financial need through a means-tested assessment.

Bursaries are intended for families who would otherwise be unable to afford school fees. As part of the assessment, parents or guardians will be asked to provide information about household income, assets, investments and financial commitments.

How to apply

There is no separate application process for an initial bursary enquiry.

When completing your application for a place at Bablake School, simply indicate that you would like to be considered for a bursary. Families who are eligible to proceed will then be invited to complete a bursary application form and provide supporting financial documentation.

Applications are considered alongside the admissions process, including assessment results, references and interview outcomes where applicable. Meeting the academic requirements for entry does not guarantee a bursary award, as bursaries are awarded based on both suitability and financial need, and demand often exceeds the funding available.

Important information

  • Bursaries are reviewed annually and families are required to provide updated financial information each year.
  • The level of financial support awarded may change if a family’s circumstances change.
  • Early applications are encouraged to allow sufficient time for the bursary assessment process and the submission of supporting documentation.

For full details, please refer to our Bursary Policy on the Policies page. If you would like to discuss bursary support confidentially, please contact our Admissions Team on 024 7627 1248 or admissions@csfoundation.org.uk.
