Support our students to be successful Beyond Bablake
At Bablake School, we believe in preparing our students for the future by equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed in the world of work. One of the most valuable ways we can achieve this is through the involvement of professionals and alumni in our career’s education activities. By sharing your experiences, offering advice, and providing real-world insights, you can make a significant impact on the lives of our students.
We are committed to sparking curiosity, fostering a spirit of opportunity, and inspiring our students to pursue their dreams and goals. Through in person experiences and exposure to a wide range of career sectors, we aim to help students explore the many possibilities their future holds. Your involvement can help ignite their passions, broaden their horizons, and guide them toward fulfilling careers, encouraging them to aspire for success, pursue their dreams with confidence, and set meaningful goals.
Moreover, we pride ourselves on our strong community spirit. At Bablake, we are not just preparing students for the world of work; we are building a network of support where students, alumni, and employers work together to create opportunities and inspire one another. By giving back to the Bablake community, you can play a vital role in shaping the future of our students and strengthening the connections that make our school such a special place.
Career Discovery Days
Throughout the year, we host various career exploration days, including our Year 9 Career Discovery Day. These events allow younger students to discover a wide range of career sectors and explore the possibilities for their future. By offering your insights and expertise, you can help spark their curiosity and inspire them to set their sights on new goals, broadening their horizons and encouraging them to pursue dreams they may not have thought of before.
Mock Interview Sessions
Our mock interview events provide Upper Sixth students with a fantastic opportunity to practice real-life interview scenarios. These sessions help students build confidence, gain a better understanding of the workplace, and feel more prepared as they take their next steps after school. Whether you can join us in person or virtually, your involvement would make a significant difference to their preparation, helping them shape their aspirations and pursue their career goals with clarity.
Mock MMI Evening & Oxbridge Interview Evening
We also have an MMI evening and a Mock Oxbridge Interview evening. These evenings offer further practice for students preparing for multiple mini-interviews or Oxbridge-style interviews, helping them refine their skills and increase their chances of success.
Green Careers Week shines a spotlight on the growing importance of sustainability and environmental careers, helping students explore how they can contribute to a more sustainable future.
Employers, Parent & Alumni Sessions can offer informal opportunities for students to engage with professional, to help students to learn about different sectors of employment, hear about their career journeys, and gain inspiration for their own paths.
Alumni Networks
We are always looking for inspiring alumni stories to share. By contributing your personal career journey, you can inspire current students as they consider their own career paths. Your story could be the motivation they need to pursue their dreams, set meaningful goals, and navigate the path to success, showing them that with dedication and hard work, anything is possible.
Enterprise
We are passionate about encouraging an entrepreneurial spirit among our students. Through enterprise challenges and innovation projects, we aim to inspire students to think creatively and take risks in developing their own skills for business. Your involvement could provide invaluable guidance, helping students understand what it takes to build a successful enterprise and the real-world skills needed to thrive in business.
How You Can Help
Your involvement can take many forms, from attending a career event to offering advice through virtual sessions or face-to-face interactions or supporting a project. We understand how busy your schedule can be, so we are flexible and where ever possible will try our best to work around your availability.
