Celebrating Outstanding GCSE Results

We are delighted to celebrate another year of exceptional GCSE success at Bablake School, with our pupils achieving an impressive 63% of all grades at 7-9, an increase from 60% last year. Even more remarkably, 40.2% of all grades were awarded at the highest levels of 8 and 9.
Among this year’s cohort, 21 pupils achieved eight or more grades at 8/9, while six pupils secured the extraordinary achievement of straight grade 9s across all their subjects.
Congratulations go to Chase, Alfie, Keyaan, Atreya, Sukhmani and Anushka, who collectively achieved an incredible 62 grade 9s between them.
There were many other outstanding individual achievements throughout the year group. Lara achieved an exceptional five grade 9s and four grade 8s while balancing her studies with a football career that has led to her signing a contract with Leicester City FC.
Sascha achieved nine grade 9s and one grade 8 and will continue his academic journey at the highly selective Imperial College London Mathematics School.

We are incredibly proud of our young people, not only for their excellent academic achievements but also for the many contributions they make beyond the classroom, including in music, sport, drama and art. Their success is reflected in another outstanding set of results.”

Of course, these great results are only one part of what our parents expect from Bablake and King Henry VIII Schools. I look forward to welcoming many of our students back into one of our Sixth Form centres in the new term, where our provision will continue to be driven by outstanding learning, intellectual ambition and distinctive opportunities that allow them to develop as successful adults.”
These results reflect the dedication, resilience and ambition shown by our pupils throughout their GCSE studies. We are immensely proud of all they have achieved and look forward to supporting them as they take the next step into Sixth Form and beyond.
