End of Year Performing Arts Showstopper

Brainstorm explores the workings of the teenage brain, how it affects thoughts, behaviours and emotions. Drawing from personal experiences and taking personal risk, pupils shared their fears, hopes and dreams, when writing elements of the script themselves.

Incredibly, the entire play was written, rehearsed and staged in just two weeks, showcasing the extraordinary commitment and creativity of both pupils and the Performing Arts team.

A parent in the audience commented:

“The piece was relatable, funny and emotional in equal measures. The group of actors seemed to have formed a lovely bond in the short time they have been working on this play, and their ability to share their vulnerabilities was really enhanced by that.”

This production of Brainstorm was more than a performance, it was a brave and heartfelt exploration of teenage life, brought to the stage with honesty. Congratulations to all involved on an unforgettable show.
