Hard Work Pays Off as We Celebrate Excellent A Level Results

August 14, 2025

We are delighted to be celebrating another excellent year of A Level success at Bablake. The Class of 2025 has produced an impressive set of results, with 72% of all grades at A*/B and 15% at A*.

Our value-added analysis shows that Bablake students achieved, on average, almost half a grade higher than would be expected nationally, which is a clear reflection of the dedication and ambition that runs throughout our school community.

Equally impressive is the fact that 40% of our pupils gained at least two A or A grades*, setting them up for an exciting range of university courses, apprenticeships and professional pathways.

Headmaster Andrew Wright praised our students’ achievements:

“This excellent set of results is testament to the hard work of our students. Their perseverance and commitment, which has led to outcomes they should be truly proud of.”

While every student’s success story is special, some journeys particularly capture the spirit of determination that defines Bablake.

  • Anastasiia’s story is one of courage and achievement. Arriving in the UK in 2022 with little English, she left her home in Ukraine with her mother. In just three years, she has embraced every challenge, thrived academically and integrated fully into school life. This summer she achieved an A* and two A grades and will now progress to the University of Bath to study Modern Languages.
  • Sophie and Alan each achieved four A* grades and will both be studying at Oxford, Sophie in Economics and Management and Alan in Ancient and Modern History.
  • Emily achieved two A*s, A and a B. She will now go on to study Natural Sciences at Christ’s College, Cambridge.
  • Our School Captains, Krish and Daisy, will both be pursuing Medicine, Krish at Birmingham and Daisy at Liverpool and Vice-Captain Umarah will be studying Dentistry at Liverpool.
  • Isaac, well known for his commanding performances in our drama productions, most recently as a lead in Bonnie and Clyde, has combined his passion for the arts with academic excellence, gaining an A* and two A grades. He will now take the next step in his acting career at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

This year’s results are not only a celebration of individual triumphs, but the collective spirit of our students. Throughout their time at Bablake, our students have embraced opportunities in academics, sport, music, drama, and community service, developing the resilience and confidence that will serve them well in the future.

Headmaster Andrew Wright concluded:

“I have no doubt that these outcomes will carry our students forward into successful futures. They will all go on to shape a better world. My personal congratulations to every one of them.”
