40 Years On... Karen Fraser Returns For Prize-Giving

Senior School Old Wheatleyans

40 years ago Karen Fraser was the first girl to walk into Bablake's Shells. Next month she will return as guest of honour for our 2015 Prize Giving.

Now Director of Credos and Strategy Director for the Advertising Association, Karen is responsible for the UK advertising industry's report series, Advertising Pays, which covers advertising’s £100bn contribution to the UK economy. Her key involvement in Credos’ report on young women and the use of airbrushing in advertising, Pretty as a Picture, and the follow up report The Whole Picture?, which challenges representations of diversity in advertising, will be of key interest to all Bablake staff and pupils.

We are very much looking forward to Karen's visit, and are also delighted she has been able to arrange a session at 4.15pm on Thursday 17th September (venue tbc), in conjunction with our Careers department, on how to get ahead in the world of advertising, media and television. Please indicate your interest in attending this by emailing Mr Mark Woodward, Head of Careers.
