Bablake's 2015 A Level Results Gain Deserved Independent Schools Council Focus

Senior School Examinations

According to figures published by the Independent Schools Council, Bablake students achieved the second highest average A level UCAS score of all West Midlands independent schools.

This is great cause for celebration, and explains why the vast majority of our students will be entering the university of their choice in a few weeks’ time. Students from independent schools were awarded either A* or A grades in almost half of all cases, compared with a national average of 26%.

Recent studies have again illustrated the salary premium earned by privately educated students over their career, but we know that this stems from far more than A level grades. Our students grow naturally in self-confidence, emerging from school as well-rounded and generous young adults, ready to play an active role in society and with the inter-personal skills which help them to form lasting relationships. This has much to do with the aspirations and opportunities of an environment with smaller classes where we prize individual attention and care within an outward-looking community.

Congratulations to our A level and GCSE students for their results this year. An exciting future beckons!
