Senior School Music

We are delighted to announce that, following end of term auditions at Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust (NMPAT), Bablake Music Scholar Darya Sutton has been appointed leader of the Northamptonshire Country Training Orchestra for 2015/16.

Darya is naturally very excited about her new role, and we expect there will be a few nerves initially as she will be leading an orchestra of nearly 100 young musicians whose average age is 15, appreciably older than herself!

NMPAT is renowned as one of the leading musical services in the UK, and not only have its groups won National Festival awards, but its Youth Orchestra is regularly invited to play at the final night of the BBC School Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.

We look forward to reporting further about Darya's progress, as well as news of the musical summer for all our Music scholars.
