Celebrating a Fantastic Year - BJS Prize Giving 2016

Junior School

During the last week of term pupils, teachers, governors and parents joined together to celebrate pupil success at the BJS annual Prize Giving.

As the school has grown we have had to relocate Prize Giving and this year we were excited to hold the event at Coventry's Central Hall.

The sun shone as parents, pupils and teachers arrived at the venue and took their seats. The audience was treated to a welcome from Mr Price, a few words from Mrs Julia McNaney, Chair of Governors, and a speech from Mr Watson, Senior School Headmaster. We also said a sad farewell to Mrs Price who is leaving us to start a new adventure at King Henry VIII this September.

Mr Price captivated the audience with one of his infamous stories about his time living in the African bush and went through a photo slideshow of the Year 6 pupils during their time at the Junior School, much to the delight of many of the children!

We were all blown away by the performance from the String Quartet during a short interval, a big thank you to Mrs Scott-Burt and Mrs Mason for their part in the musical performances during the evening.

The prizes were then presented for achievement and effort, the new Head Girl, Head Boy, Deputy Head Boy and Girl and Sport Prefects were announced and the House trophy was lifted.

Thank you to everyone who came to Prize Giving to celebrate our pupils' achievements. It is always fantastic to showcase how well they have done over the year and to see everyone before we break up for the holidays.
