Sports Captains 2016-17: (5) Rugby

Sixth Form Sport

The immense honour of being a leader for our Senior sports teams is hard to estimate and today we conclude the 2016-17 series on the excellent leaders chosen to inspire our first teams for the Autumn and Spring terms.

Well done, then, to Danny O'Malley (captain) and Daniel Lanning (vice captain), who have been appointed Rugby 1st XV captains for the 2016-17 season. Their rugby-loving form tutor Mr Simon Enstone (Head of Geography) will be amongst those very proud of their recognition as leaders.

The rugby season has already been keenly approached following an excellent summer tour in South Africa, where the rugby played was of a very high standard and both the team spirit and camaraderie were clearly very positive.

We wish the boys all the best for the rest of their fixtures this season, including latterly a full programme of 7s rugby and our annual fixture v KHVIII, where the team will, of course, also be hoping to regain the Mike Hibbert Memorial Shield and avenge its recent cup defeat.
