Bablake Hosts Inaugural Women In Education Conference

Staff Outreach

The inaugural Women in Education West Midlands regional event was hosted at Bablake School today.

A more detailed report on today's empowering and inspiring conference will be posted in due course, but we asked Bablake Chemistry teacher and author Miss Sam Holyman - facilitator for one of the 20 excellent workshops - about the event.

Miss Holyman commented: "It was a great privilege to be given the opportunity to be part of the #WomenEd conference today at Bablake. My session was designed to give delegates a virtual toolkit to help them use ICT to enhance their teaching and learning, as well as how ICT can boost your career.

Thanks to Breckland Scientific, Chilled Food Association, IDS and Bablake's Mrs Tracy Mair (Reprographics) for the 'freebies' (pictured) to put in my delegate pack - my daughter always says 'It's not a party, unless you have a party bag!'"

Well done also to Mrs Maria O'Neill (Charity and Life Choices coordinator) who was instrumental in arranging the conference. Thanks also to PET-Xi for sponsoring all refreshments at the conference.
