Well Done Rory!

Junior School Pre Prep

Pupils at the Junior School were treated to a day of fun games last week thanks to Year 6 pupil, Rory, who won a national competition during a trip to the UK Gaming Expo  held at the NEC back in June.

Rory entered the ‘Represent your School’ competition in the Family Zone, an area run by Imagination Gaming, which was dedicated to providing a safe and stress-free zone with a huge range of clever and educational games.

The competition encouraged everyone to participate and to get involved in the games on offer and Rory entered by playing a series of games, with the better players then having their names put into a prize draw to win an entire day of gaming for their school.

Imagination Gaming came to Bablake Junior School to show the children some interesting and educational games.

Rory said, “I was shocked when I found out I had won and it was great to have a full day of games for everyone at school. The best part was missing Maths and English that morning!”

Nigel Scarfe of Imagination Gaming said, “We were thrilled to be able to come to Bablake for the day and to present the award to Rory for his great work at the Expo. The pupils had an exciting day of activities, playing table top and traditional games that will help support their general learning.

“We like to get everyone involved when we do gaming activities and we get fantastic reviews because of the high levels of participation and engagement. We would encourage anyone that’s not given it a go yet to try it out. We don’t think you will be disappointed.”

The Gaming Expo itself is a huge event held every year at the NEC, dedicated to table top games throughout the UK. Thousands of families and gamers come along for up to three days and immerse themselves in a world of games.
