Young Enterprise online tutoring service goes to the regional final.
The service, that was set up to support younger pupils, helped to offer support during online learning and a broken school year due to covid closures. The team overcame many challenges and were awarded for their efforts by gaining a place in the regional final.
The judges comment were, "An excellent concept and very fitting to the pandemic era. The team had carefully considered their market and the need for additional support. Despite there being numerous tutors available in the market, the fact that you are niche (as their peers) would be advantageous and results could be extremely positive as students would relate to you. Setting up a service is the rarer option when it comes to YE businesses and this one was certainly impressive.
"Thank you for your report. We appreciate that it has been a difficult year and that you were limited due to external factors. The content included was good. Your presentation offered a further insight allowing us to understand further your business and your journey. Well done for persevering and not giving up despite all the challenges. That is a skill that you should be proud of. You interviewed very well and offered sound answers to challenging questions. It reflected that you would be confident tutors. Well done and all the very best for the future of Workmates."
Well done to Alex, Hema, Mat, Harry Sophie, Phoebe, Toby, Serena, Kit, Lauren, Jaydeep and Keira!
