Neurodiversity Celebration Week at Bablake
March 20, 2025
Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences.

It aims to transform how neurodivergent individuals are perceived and supported by providing schools, universities, organisations, and others around the world with the opportunity to recognise the many skills and talents of neurodivergent individuals, while creating more inclusive and equitable cultures that celebrate differences and empower every individual.
At Bablake School we recognise the strengths and talents of all of our pupils, provide an environment where individuality is embraced and all the different ways of thinking are valued.
Our amazing librarian, Mrs. Needham, has put together a brilliant display featuring books with divergent characters, stories about incredible minds and narratives that challenge outdated perceptions.
Mrs. Needham recommends ‘All the Pieces’ by Libby Scott and Rebecca Westcott, ‘We Are All Molecules’ by Susin Nielsen and ‘The Gifted, The Talented and Me’ by William Sutcliffe.
