Outstanding GCSE Success for Bablake Pupils

August 21, 2025

We are celebrating another year of outstanding GCSE results, with pupils achieving exceptional grades across the board.

Two thirds of all candidates gained at least five grades at 7 or above and over 60% of all grades awarded were 7, 8 or 9. Impressively, 40% of all grades were at the top levels, grade 8 or 9.

Twenty six pupils achieved at least eight grades at 8 or 9, highlighting the strength and depth of academic performance this year.

Headmaster Mr Andrew Wright said:
“Following on from the excellent A Level results last week, these results are a wonderful reflection of our pupils’ hard work and ambition. Their achievements demonstrate not only academic excellence but also the commitment and character that will serve them well in the future. We are very proud of them and look forward to seeing them thrive in the Sixth Form and beyond”.

Among the many individual success stories, India achieved a clean sweep of eleven grade 9s, an exceptional result that reflects her academic strength. Izabela, earned ten grade 9s and two grade 8s, Teyah also achieved ten grade 9s and one grade 8. Michael achieved nine grade 9s and one grade 8, twins Raha and Rojan also excelled, Rojan achieved eight grades at 8 or 9 and Raha achieved three grades at 8 or 9.

Aaron, a competitive English pickleball player, achieved 10 GCSEs at grade 7 or above, balancing academic achievement with national-level sporting commitments.

Many pupils are progressing to Bablake Sixth Form, which offers dedicated pathways for medicine, engineering, law and Oxbridge.
