Academic progress is supported by specialist staff with a wide experience of teaching up to Oxford and Cambridge entrance level and in preparing students for the next stage of their lives.

Joining Bablake Sixth Form signifies an exciting phase as students embrace greater independence and immerse themselves in a more mature environment. Students enjoy working in smaller classes and complete a significant amount of independent and collaborative work in private study or at home. There is a clear shift towards greater challenge and extended thinking.

For the first time, students have total control over which subjects they want to study.

Three A Levels are studied in-depth over two years. Students choose subjects based on their interests, aptitudes and aspirations. A well-chosen combination of subjects will result in a fulfilling experience that will enable students to thrive academically and proceed confidently into the world of higher education or work.

We want our students to leave Bablake ahead of the rest, aware of their unique selling points and of the importance of finding and taking opportunities.

Our dedicated Careers department is easily accessible and helps students explore the wide range of possibilities open beyond A Level study.

Students have the opportunity to practise interview skills through a programme of organised Higher Education Mock Interview panels.
