Bablake Pupils Everywhere- (12) Kate Bradford - Freelance Journalist and Primary Teacher

Old Wheatleyans Media

Kate Bradford (formerly Townshend), who graduated from the University of Warwick in 2002 with a first class honours degree in English, is combining life as a part-time Primary school teacher with a career as a freelance journalist.

Kate's most recent piece for the Times Education Supplement, following an article late last year on the advantages of part-time employment, offers advice to prospective teachers looking to land their first post. In her article 'Be Prepared', part of the 'Your First Job' supplement issued with the current issue of the TES, Kate also included the advice of our Head of Careers Mr Mark Woodward on how to approach interviews.

As well as writing for the TES, Kate's journalism features regularly in the Guardian and the Telegraph (especially the women's section). She also writes for weekly and monthly publications such as Grazia, Psychologies and Good Housekeeping.
