Co-Curricular Fair Deemed A Success

Activities

Our first Co-curricular Fair- modelled on the traditional University Freshers' Fair or graduate recruiters' Milkround events- took place yesterday at lunchtime on our field and was deemed a great success.

Pupils from all year groups had the opportunity to see the wide range of co-curricular activities available, talk to the staff or pupils running them and then decide which ones to sign up for.

Mr Andrew Phillips, who co-ordinates the super range of co-curricular activity available for Bablake's pupils commented: 'This was the first time we had held an event like this and it took some arranging as there were so many clubs that needed space for their pitch!

We had originally planned to hold this in the Main Hall, however we switched to the Main Field and this proved a wise move. I was delighted to see so many pupils asking staff and pupils about the co-curricular activity.'

With so much choice, ranging from clubs such as Amnesty International, Cake-Making for Beginners, Equestrian Club, Flight Simulator Club, Mindfulness and the Sikh and Hindu Society to those related to an impressive range of academic subjects, drama, music and sport, there is certainly plenty of activity that we hope our pupils will soon be enjoying in their time outside the classroom.
