CCF Range Day

U6th pupil Jonathan Porter has kindly posted a report on the recent Combined Cadet Force Range Day expedition:

'Bablake's CCF frequently conducts both military and adventure training exercises to supplement its three main annual camps. During Remembrance weekend, we enjoyed a range day in Wales, where we gained more live rifle fire experience.

As ever, despite the cold weather in the valleys, the exercise went smoothly, as staff and cadets shot at 'figure 11' targets. As is traditional too, every bit of food from the mess hall at Nesscliffe was eagerly eaten, once our appetite had been built up by our training.'
