Hannah's Art and Photography Are In Demand

Flair- Art and Design Sixth Form

Over the last month U6th pupil Hannah Corden has seen her art and photography gain a public platform not just once but on four different occasions!

First of all, the cover of our current Spring Diary (both online and in printed format) displays some of Hannah's excellent artwork.

Next, when Bablake submits its entry for the 2015 Shine Schools Media awards, Hannah's pictures from our school trip to Iceland, that accompanied Head of Geography Mr Simon Enstone's account on pages 32-3 of our latest Wheatleyan magazine, will be submitted as the best example of original pupil photography from the edition.

Photographs from the same trip were also selected to feature on the July page of our 2015 CRY UK charity calendar, which may be seen in the photography accompanying this article.

Finally, Hannah discovered last week that her photograph of the blue waters of Iceland had been placed 3rd in a national photography competition arranged by education travel specialists Discover the World Education.

While narrowly missing out on a Go Pro camera awarded to a student from Kingswood School who won first prize, Hannah should take pride in the excellent achievement of gaining her first national recognition for her photography!

Footnote!

Our last edition of The Lion also included a promo shot for 'Bablake Theatre' that Hannah took and edited in her recent Enrichment Photography lessons.
