A Musical In One Day

On Saturday 7th February, U6th pupils Aron Sood and Alex Murray will be writing, rehearsing and performing a one act musical in the space of less than 12 hours. This ambitious and exciting project will be Bablake's first 'One-Day Musical' and we eagerly await the final outcome.

Those involved in the show will arrive in school at 8am, set up equipment to capture the day's planning, choose the genre for the musical and begin writing the lyrics and score. Early that afternoon, performers will then begin to rehearse the musical, learn lines and put a final polish to the show!

Parents, pupils and friends of the Bablake community are all invited to attend the performance at 7.30pm, where it is also hoped to be able to show a short film of the day's events. Tickets will be £5 and the proceeds will be donated to Zoe's Place Baby Hospice, one of our key charity partners.
