Old Wheats RFC Looks Forward To Season's 1st VP Day

The first of this season's two Old Wheatleyans RFC Vice Presidents' days is on Saturday 19th December. It promises to be an excellent afternoon and will see both the 1st XV and Stags XV take on local rivals Old Coventrians RFC.

Vice Presidents' days are always an excellent opportunity to catch up with former pupils and parents who will be cheering on from the sidelines. If Saturday's 67-14 league win against Harbury RFC is anything to go by, there will also be a healthy number of former pupils on the pitch too, since this weekend's 1st XV included recent leavers Makhan Binder, Andy Haughian, Sam Jack, James Langton, Rory Moynihan and Joshua White as well as twenty-somethings Richard Lowe and Oliver Thorpe. Veteran prop Craig Mosey also rolled back the years and impressed in the pack!

Kick off on VP Day (Saturday 19th December) will be at 2.15pm. There will be a Christmas meal for VPs from 12.45pm; those wishing to partake of the festive feast should contact Mrs Marion Hibbert as soon as possible.
