New Editors For The Wheatleyan Announced

News and Features Publications

L6th pupils Kirat Johal and Robbie Stowers have been appointed as Editor and Deputy Editor respectively for the 2014-15 edition of our annual magazine 'The Wheatleyan'.

To assist Kirat and Robbie, a strong team of fellow L6th pupils has been appointed: Beth Edmiston, Annie Honess and Jake Morton will be looking after 'Beyond the Classroom'; Emily White and Daisy Williams (Flair- Art and Design) and Greg Checklin and Joel White (Flair- Literature) are tending the most creative section; Charlotte Byng and Chris Tuttle will be reporting on our Performing Arts; Sport is in the capable hands of Chimdi Ogbuneke and Sophie Price; and Georgia Gunson and Dan Williams will be searching for news of Former Pupils.

The photographic duties will lie with our Editor and Deputy Editor, who are both keen photographers, as well as Jess Hunter and Hannah Mordey. We are open to volunteers who may wish to explore digital opportunities for the magazine.

Staff Editor Mr Mark Woodward commented: 'Once again, it has been a very difficult task narrowing pupils down to those selected, but I am confident the final team will produce an issue that will match and surpass our current issue and, as always, display student journalism at its best!'

For those in the L6th interested in creative work of this nature, there are still plenty of opportunities to be involved with 'Stretch' later this year or write for our website. Please see Mr Mark Woodward (Careers) for further information.
