Bablake Junior School Pupils Take The Biscuit

Junior School

While we reported earlier in the week on our Design Technology and Physics departments working together on an engineering project, it seems our Junior School is also combining staff expertise.

Year 6 pupils, fresh from recent entrance examinations, have been honing their baking skills with biscuit making lessons. As part of their Design and Technology programme, the pupils were shown how to manage simple cooking tasks.

Headmaster Mr Neil Price had the onerous task of sampling the final produce and reported that, while some of the biscuits were delicious, some did not quite meet the finest textures of the best prototypes. We are led to believe however that he remains very happy to test a few more samples!

Reports from the pupils involved in the lessons suggested everyone enjoyed themselves and they are definitely looking forward to the next project... making pizzas!
