Class of 2008 Enjoys Its Final Night At Bablake

Sixth Form Events

One of the most poignant evenings of the Bablake calendar is our Leavers' Ball and the Class of 2008's event last week at Nailcote Hall did not fail to live up to this billing.

While staff and students are always enthusiastic about the exciting future ahead for those graduating from Bablake, inevitably everyone cannot fail to reflect on the friendships made and lovely memories created that will soon be interrupted.

After photographs in the beautiful gardens, a fine meal, year group awards and Picture Booth costume revelry, any final energy was exhausted on the dance floor with music provided by local DJs DJ B and DJ G. It was an excellent evening for which the Prom Committee and Mrs Robinson (instrumental in ensuring the main room looked amazing) should be heartily congratulated.

The picture accompanying this article of course perfectly sums up the 'Spirit of Bablake'... as some of our students share a selfie with the young man in the second row, their form tutor Mr Shoyeb Memon (Second in Maths).

Happily these friendships made at Bablake and the cherished memories do remain strong for life, and the full Sixth Form team and all subject tutors look forward to regular career updates.

Photographs from the event are being posted on our official Facebook page.
