Leading By Example

The Bablake community is always encouraged to push boundaries and take calculated risks. This week our Headmaster Mr John Watson bravely has the opportunity to prove this as he abseils down our Main Tower to raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust.

Spurred on by 3M - Geography teachers Mrs Jo MacGibbon and Miss Rebecca Priest's tutor group - Mr Watson has agreed to face his fear of heights and be marshalled down to terra firma by climbing expert Mr Kris Tyas (Head of Mathematics).

The original target of £250 set by our Headmaster has been reached, but if you feel inclined to donate, please click here. Who knows if we reach a higher target and the experience (which your reporter can confirm is an amazing one having done this in the Brecon Beacons when appreciably younger) may become a regular Senior Leadership Team fundraiser!
