Enya Takes Bablake Back To The Fifties

Charity Music

Fourth year pupil Enya Bowe is taking Bablake back to the fifties for a charity dance show and concert that forms part of her progress towards the Gold Arts Award.

The 'Back to the Fifties' concert, which will take place on Friday 5th February at 7pm, is being held as a fundraiser for Womankind, a charity that provides direct support for women and girls in many different countries. This support may be a safe place to escape violence, information about rights, leadership training or funding to start a business. The charity is committed to changing laws and policies that discriminate against women and girls, as well as challenging the damaging attitudes and stereotypes at the root of inequality.

Tickets, which cost £5 each, are available either daily in the EDM Foyer between 1.45pm and 2pm or may be reserved by email via our Charity Co-ordinator Mrs Maria O’Neill. If you kindly wish to donate a raffle prize, this may also be co-ordinated via Mrs O’Neill.

We look forward to what promises to be an excellent evening of entertainment, and congratulate Enya on her initiative.
